New grant for CoLearnLab: "Making" a difference

We're excited to be awarded an Illinois Learning Sciences Design Initiative Phase 2 grant. The team includes Barbara Hug (C&I), Sharlene Denos (Uni High), Jeff Ginger (Fab Lab), Elif Ertekin (Engineering), Mariana Kersh (Engineering), David Bergandine (Uni High), Jeff Walkington (Uni High) and Marianne Downey (Uni High).

We'll be focused on an engineering design project with the Uni High 7th and 8th graders, looking to understand how collaborative projects, and bringing maker activities into formal learning environments influences the development of science and engineering skills and engineering concepts.
